Those individual oatmeal packets are great on a busy morning. Oatmeal is so healthy and satisfying. Those packets can be expensive unless they are on sale and you have a coupon. Here is a very inexpensive way to make your own oatmeal packets. I love it because it is easy and the options are endless with oatmeal.
CREATE AN OATMEAL PACKET

Put 1 cup of the oats into a food processor and powder.
Put ¼ cup unpowdered oats, 2 Tbsp powdered oats, and little bit of salt into each bag.
Store in an airtight container.
To Serve:
Empty packet into a bowl.
Add ¾ cup boiling water.
Stir and let stand for 2 minutes.

ReplyDeleteSure. I am happy you liked it. :)
ReplyDeleteHoney is a great way to sweaten oatmeal (I've even been known to use 'light' pancake syrup). I also love to do peanut butter and banana in oatmeal. :) Oh, and cream cheese with berries!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the ideas Rachel. I also use pancake syrup and brown sugar. I will be trying your ideas.
